We keep hearing that patients with high deductibles are skimping on their meds becase of the out-of-pocket cost. But it appears that large numbers of people are not taking their pills, regardles of the cost.

A recent paper looked at the efficacy of using periodic text messages to badger people into taking their meds. Apparently it works. Who would have thought twitter had medical applications.
