I have no doubt that eating nothing every other day will cause people to lose weight. But of what use is that observation. Fasting for a whole week will cause you to lose even more weight!

People willing to eat only every other day likely have the will power to eat only half as much on a daily basis.
Posting calorie counts on menus only works for dieters who are willing to do the math and stick to it.
If people are not willing to count calories and stick to a “calorie budget,” there are those who believe it takes a village to force the schools and vending machines to sell only (healthy) food items that nobody would buy otherwise.
