This is from the National Center for Health Statistics:
In 2007, 17.3% of persons under 65 years of age with private health insurance were enrolled in a high-deductible health plan (HDHP), 4.5% were enrolled in consumer-directed health plans (CDHPs), and 14.8% were in a family with a flexible spending account (FSA) for medical expenses.

Assurant reports: 40% of the applicant buying CDHPs and opening Health Savings Accounts indicated no prior coverage.
If President Obama wants to reduce the uninsured population he will point out the above statistic to Charlie Gibson on ABC’s propaganda for Socialized Medicine.
The HSA is the centerpiece of the RNC health reforms. Will ABC ask President Obama a tax free HSA question?
Socialized Medicine is the keystone in the arch of Socialism.

Congress is largely ignoring these facts.

Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) are use-it-or-lose-it accounts. They give patients incentives to waste end-of-year balances. This is the opposite incentive of Health Saving Accounts (HSAs), which are use-it-or-save-it accounts.
