It's the August recess for members of Congress. So everyone's life, liberty and property is temporarily safe.
Well, almost everybody. Before they left town, this largely do-nothing Congress did one very bad thing. They hiked the minimum wage from $5.15 an hour to $7.25 an hour as of July, 2009.
