More than 3,330 health care lobbyists — six for every member of Congress — contributed more than one-quarter of a billion dollars in the first and second quarters of 2009. A nearly equal amount has been contributed on this issue from non-health care organizations.

Much as Obama and the Democratic leadership rails against the special interests, the reform bills have actually been written by the special interests.

There are 3,330 health care lobbyists and the Pelosi bill is 1,990 pages long. That comes out to about 6/10ths of a page per lobbyist! I wonder if they were allowed to put anything they wanted in their three-fifths of a page?
