But apparently, this is medical research, not fiction:
Military researchers have dressed live pigs in body armor and strapped them into Humvee simulators that were then blown up with explosives to study the link between roadside bomb blasts and brain injury.

You’re right. There was something equally inane in Atlas Shrugged. I think the victim in the novel was a goat.

This is only one of a great many things going on that remind me of Atlas Shruggged.
