Less than one in five Americans believes health reform will benefit them personally. Nearly one in three thinks they will be worse off.

If the current health reform proposals are enacted, the only “winners” will be households that receive direct, unambiguous taxpayer subsidies — probably close to or less than the 18% in the survey who think they will benefit.
Everyone else will be paying more.

It sort of makes you wonder why Democrats are pushing so hard for a socialized health care system that 82% of the population doesn’t believe will benefit them; believes it will make no difference; or is apparently so disinterested as to not have an opinion.

If it goes through, I expect to pay more. For some reason the government will overpay for a lot of things, just not health care for non-employees. Some blog had a post that Medicare reimbursement rates where 45% of billed. I wonder who makes up the difference?
