Napping on the job? There’s an upside.
Are you taking a daily aspirin? Maybe you shouldn’t.

Thanks. I’m all in favor of napping on the job.

If napping after lunch increases learning power so much, why isn’t Mexico doing better than it is? Their daily siestas should make Mexico one of the world’s intellectual powerhouses.

Larry: Whether we’re talking about Mexico, Greece, Sicily, the Philippines, or any of the other countries that practice afternoon napping, is there a discernable national benefit to taking an after-lunch nap?
I don’t know the answer. My only real experience with this involved a personal nightmare trying to exchange currency while traveling abroad. Good luck finding an open bank at 2:00pm in southern Spain.

If politicians and bureaucrats napped on the job, the rest of us might be able to our jobs more easily!
